Hullo! It's been a while, I know. I have been busy with soooo many adventures, and I've had no time to update you all!!
So here we go:
1 - K took me on a remarkable and wonderful trip up to visit the forest moon of Endor (actually, the Redwood forest near Trinidad, California). It was amazing, and deserves full blog entry on its own. I am still organizing pictures from that trip, but it was just stunning. The redwood trees are something I have been aware of all of my life (and certainly became more aware of them with Return of the Jedi), but I had never actually had the opportunity to see them first-hand. The size of these things... I just don't have the words. Our trip down the Avenue of Giants, with the highway lined on both sides with these wonderful giant trees was just overwhelming. It was a good time to have a sunroof, though it is hard to drive and look up at the same time. :) We had the BEST B&B I have ever seen, with a truly breathtaking view, and we hiked down to the amazing Tall Trees Grove, and... there is just a LOT to show you, but that will have to wait until I can get things organized. More to come!
2 - K then took me to Wicked! I finally got to see it in person, which was a great treat. The touring company featured Emma Hunton as Elphie and Gina Beck as Galinda. They were both excellent, and the Wizard was, of all people, Tim Kazurinsky, who is probably best known as Sweetchuck from the Police Academy movies!!
3 - I have been hard at work on a personal project, the details of which I am not ready to share just yet. This is what has been eating the lion's share of my time, as I usually spend at least a few hours working on it each night. I'll update about this soon..ish. :)
4 - I created a completely separate website just for foodapalooza! You can catch all of the delicious food action now over at www.foodapalooza.menu. We're actually gearing up for Foodapalooza Summer 2014, which is this Saturday! This breaks a rule that I try to keep to in this blog of talking about something I am *going* to do, rather than something I *have done*, but I'll allow myself to make an exception in this case, as we've already started prep for Saturday's deliciousness!
Whew!
Tomorrow, ADVENTURE!! :)
