Day 67: Oh. God.
The Gamecocks ("Yooooou're University of South Carolina GAMECOCKS!!") played today at noon. Eastern.
So I had to be awake at 9 a.m. Pacific to watch the game.
I got up, and realized that I *also* had to get ready for a party at my place that night, and *also* needed to go see the art my friends were doing on Sacramento Second Saturday, so...
Let's just timeline this, shall we?
8:45 - Alarm goes off. I rise, bathe, and settle in to watch USC football. No, California people, not the University of Southern California, but instead the real USC. Ahem.
9:00 - Start picking up the apartment, and doing the floors, and such.
9:15 - Kickoff!! Go Cocks!! (Interestingly, having said this my whole life, I find no humor in it, but BOY, is it hilarious when I randomly scream it in a group setting with my CA peeps!)
11:30 - Okay, we're up 21-0, and I need to hit the gym, so I ditch at half-time, and go lift heavy things.
12:45 - I stop by the grocery store for dips and chips and the like for the evening.
1:00 - The Gamecocks win by a LOT!! GO COCKS!!
4:00 - Aaron texts me that the art peeps will be around the corner at Burgers & Brew, and I join them for lunch.

NOTE: Normally, I give people aliases in this blog, because I don't want people to not talk to me in case their name shows up here. My artist friends, however, will not be given aliases. This is because their names, in alphabetical order, are:
Aaron
Akiko
Autumn
Coffee
Sierra
Sunshine
To give such magical names aliases would be a disservice to humanity. As an aside, Coffee and Sierra are both the whitest men you have ever met, and are very involved in the local metal scene, while Sunshine looks like a voodoo princess. Akiko is an incredibly talented artist who happens to be gorgeous (and deeply in love with Sierra, and they are SUPER cute together), and Aaron is a head-banging metal-head who may be one of the best abstract artists I have ever met, but to look at him you'd think he's an Asian gangster who might secretly own all of California, but just isn't going to talk about it. Autumn is a pure California blonde, with the heart of a faerie. The names, gentle reader, do not communicate the soul, and so I cannot give them aliases, because it would rob some of their magic, and I'm above that sort of thing.

5:00 - We decide that we need to figure out what we're doing next.
6:00 - We've mostly decided. Mostly.
7:00 - We head out to 20th and J. We find Sean and Brittany (there is a better than even chance that I'm misspelling both of those names) doing chalk art, as part of a movement called "Chalk-upy" (like, "Occupy", but with more pun). I drew this:

Yes, for the second weekend in a row, my friends got me to draw with chalk on the streets of Sacramento.
I love this town.
Tomorrow, ADVENTURE!! :)
