Day 304

Day 304: My K was not feeling well, so I went over to her house to cook her homemade chicken noodle soup and grilled cheese, and then we snuggled down to watch the second Pirates movie.  It still is the weakest of the series, with absolutely unrelated action set-pieces thrown in for the first 90 minutes (the cannibal island, for one thing), but we still enjoyed the third act.

Speaking of the cannibals, one character makes a passing remark about "long pork".  I learned from Heinlein that this is an archaic, and euphemistic, way of describing humans as food.  Keep it classy, Disney.

Her dad sent along a link, and asked us to note the dancing up in the top of the stands during the celebration/rally after the end of the Kings' final game of the season.  Why, who is that handsome young man who is getting his groove on??

Yeah, that's me. The young lady observing me to my immediate right is K.  Next to her is her dad, and her brother, and brother's fiancee is down in the row in front of us.

But, honestly, you've gotta go check out the video.  I am a huge dork.

You can watch it in all its glory here.

The fun starts at 1:24.  But they were playing Sweet Caroline, for cryin' out loud!!!

So there's a short video where I'm dancing like a moron waaaaay at the back of a huge crowd.

I'm basically famous.

Tomorrow, ADVENTURE!!  :)
