April 19, 2014 - Today, I was happily and innocently indulging in a little computering, when, from the other room, a familiar strain was heard:

Yo Joe!
He'll fight for freedom where ever there's trouble.
GI Joe is there.

It's GI Joe against Cobra the enemy
Fighting to save the day.
He never gives up.
He's always there,
Fighting for freedom over land and air

GI Joe- A real American hero
GI Joe is there
...

...Now, I know that on Saturday mornings, K likes to catch up on her weekly television, but why in the world was she watching the adventures of America's daring, highly trained special mission force?  Curious, I wandered into the other room, wondering what Cobra (a ruthless terrorist organization determined to rule the world) was up to in this animated adventure.

It turned out to be an episode of Community, which took place inside the animated series that I remembered so fondly.  In thinking about it, I wondered, as I had often done as a wee tyke, exactly which G.I. Joe *I* would have been.  Of course, it's obviously the roguish-but-loveable sailor, Shipwreck.  And then I thought, "Hey, let's do a side-by-side comparison!!"

It's like looking in a damn mirror.

Although I had no parrot, which is lame.

I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend!

Tomorrow, ADVENTURE!!  :)
